Damn. They removed a track which had an amazing riff, they teased it during their recording sessions. Really disheartening.

Also, I like the previous versions of Out of Time, Synthetic Hands (Chemical Hands before), and Blind Side.

Too commercial sounding in my opinion.

EDIT: My bad, that riff is in Menace.

Just got it and my sentiment is the exact same so far, guitars are so buried and dissolved in the mix (for a prog band). I think the vocal delivery was much much better in the original versions as well (for the tunes they redid). The vocal double takes make it sound so off (especially for the ballard style they are going for). Maybe im just too familiar with the old articulations Eric used. I wish i didnt hear the old iterations :( as it's given me preconceptions of what you expect to hear. Drums are mixed a bit better for shuffles in Blind Side. Not listened to all the new songs yet. I still love the band but i want the heaviness to comeback or at least have a better levelling of vocals and prog guitars to return in their next works.

Edit: Listened to the whole thing, the chorus stereo effect on the vocals for some parts of the songs are so jarring. They are already at least double taked with reverb, why does it need more width/flanging??

This is a really cool album

This is also what i wish Royal Coda would have sounded similar to, cause i could definitely hear Kurt doing something like this

Stoked we got new Skyharbor this year with new Monuments on the way. This is so good! Guiding Lights is one of my all time favorite prog albums but I love the new vocalist. This album is stellar. Only complaint is the album art is painfully dull. Doesn't even come close to the Out of Time/Blind Side artwork. Nonetheless though GREAT album.

Album starts out pretty strong with the first couple of tracks, then it got kinda eh and samey in the middle, then The Reckoning came and that was me till the album ended >>>

So, that's a nice surprise/10 for me.

I cannot describe how awesome this album is. Out Of Time is simply a piece of art.

A local radio station just played "Ethos" (perhaps the best track on the album in my very humble opinion)

There are almost no "Unclean" vocals in this album, however, the sentiment behind most of the clean vocals more than make up for this.

I am Amazed when it comes to this album. Please, give it a listen and then buy it if you have not!
